Cheryl R. Brown became our full-time Program Coordinator in December 2018 and Interim Executive Director in November 2019. The Board of Directors promoted Cheryl to Executive Director on April 15, 2020.
Cheryl is from Colorado and moved to Ocean Shores in August 2014. She has extensive experience in customer service, accounting, factoring, human resources, payroll, business management, supervising, and training. Cheryl has also operated her own part time businesses for 15 years. Prior to becoming the full time PC, she was on the GHYW Board of Directors for two years. Her passion for GHYW comes from her daughter participating in our program in 2015 and found her career pathway. Currently she is in the 2019 Greater Grays Harbor Inc. Leadership Class and has become a member of Toastmasters. At the beginning of 2020 she became a Greater Grays Harbor Ambassador. Her goal is to make a difference in other people’s lives.

Cheryl R. Brown’s daughter, ReNay Eden participated in the program in 2015 and found her career pathway. ReNay completed the CTE CNA course and then went to college after high school. She is currently an LPN, working as a Charge Nurse at one of Vancouver’s largest assisted living facilities. Currently pursuing to become an RN. Both ReNay and Cheryl are passionate about this program as it has made a difference in young people’s lives.
