2019-10-28 Grays Harbor Youth Works is currently recruiting for a part-time Program Coordinator.
To Assist the executive director in administrative duties, coordinate all phases of a youth internship program. Collaborating with local schools, businesses, and community-based organizations. The program will provide career trajectory internships to high-school age youth in their fields of interest. Service will be performed at our office at 410 North H St., Aberdeen, WA and client/partner locations.
The position is for 20 hours per week. Specific hours are flexible and depend upon the availability of our partners and clients.
The Program Coordinator will assist many various functions including orientations, student & partner placement, student & partner evaluations, Career Pathway Day, recognition events, and coordinate board fundraising events. Individual programs are designed in collaboration with each site, based on an organizational assessment .
Education, experience, qualities, or specialized training requirements
A successful candidate will be highly self-motivated, outgoing, and detail-oriented with excellent communication skills. There are no specialized training requirements.

A person with a background in project management, sales, service or similar areas that build a degree of comfort with cold calling potential prospects would be helpful. The key requirement is an outgoing, confident, and positive personality.
Special conditions of service
This position will include large portions of time spent working in the community without direct supervision. This will include working with a wide variety of schools and businesses including Native American Reservations, rural and isolated areas. While we do not anticipate safety concerns, a successful candidate will be comfortable working independently with coaching and support. A Washington State driver’s license, reliable vehicle and proof of insurance are required. Dress is business-casual and occasionally semi formal.
Specific physical requirements activities such as sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, etc.
Ability to perform the basic physical requirements of office work, including occasional lifting of supplies up to 20 pounds is required. May involve sitting for extended periods of time (several hours) at a time.
Tools typically used to accomplish the tasks of this position
Ordinary office equipment including telephones, computers, fax machines, copiers, scanners, etc. Experience with Microsoft Word required; Excel and Publisher and PowerPoint preferred.
This position is a contracted position. Pay is $15.00/hour plus mileage.
